New York State Government promises legalization of marijuana

On December 11, US time, Michigan officially approved 24 medical cannabis business licenses.   On December 14, the first medical marijuana convenience store in the state of Burma opened in Portland. Since then, the medical marijuan law in Myanmar has officially entered into force. On December 18th, New York Governor Andrew Kumo told reporters that he would promote adult legalization of marijuana within a few months. It is reported that this move is expected to generate annual sales of about $1.7 billion.   New Zealand Attorney General Andrew Little said that voters will decide whether to legalize adult cannabis during the 2020 election. Just last week, the New Zealand government just announced that it would no longer restrict medical marijuana, and a recent news survey showed that 46% of voters favored legalization of marijuana and 41% opposed it.   Last week, Marlboro and other cigarette maker Altria invested $1.8 billion in the Toronto cannabis company Cronos Group. This large-scale investment indicates that mainstream acceptance of cannabis has reached an important turning point. According to Brightfield, global legal cannabis sales will exceed $31 billion in 2021.
